Matt Ruggiere, PGA

I grew up in Ocean City Maryland playing junior golf tournaments and enjoying time at the beach. After junior golf, I moved to Florida and turned professional to compete on minor league golf tours throughout the Southeast. Through training for competition, I found my passion for helping others improve their golf game. I was fortunate to work at great facilities during my apprenticeship, courses like LPGA International in Daytona Beach FL and Indian Peaks Golf Course in Boulder Colorado, where I learned from some of the best LPGA and PGA instructors. I have been teaching golfers of all ages and skill levels for 8+ years and I look forward to helping you reach your golf goals. When I'm not at the course I enjoy surfing, mountain biking, spending time with my Wife, Lindsey, and our dog Russell. 

 Hello, I'm Frank Sallese. I'm from Perry Hall, Maryland just outside of Baltimore. My golfing journey began when I was a kid growing up at Sparrows Point Country Club in Dundalk, Maryland. I spent my summers competing in junior golf tournaments around Baltimore and Ocean City. This led me into leading the golf team at Perry Hall High School where I was able to play my way into the Maryland State Championship in 3 of my 4 years there. After high school, I was recruited to play NCAA Division III golf at Stevenson University where my team earned a MAC Conference Championship and a NCAA Nationals spot. During my summers at college, I assisted teaching at junior golf clinics here at Ocean Pines and found a passion for teaching the game of golf. Now, as a college graduate, I have begun my path toward earning a PGA of America membership as a teaching professional. If you can't find me on the golf course, you'll find me officiating ice hockey for all ages, including collegiate hockey, or catching an Orioles game with my family.

 I am a retired Investigator and Management Consultant with a lifelong passion for golf. I began playing at the age of 10 and have been an accomplished golfer for most of my life. For 25 years, I was a proud member of the Rye Golf Club in Rye, New York, where I also served as the Director of Outside Golf Operations for five years before retiring.

Following my retirement, I relocated to Selbyville, DE, and embraced a new chapter in my golf journey as the Assistant Golf Professional at River Run Golf Club, mentored by my good friend Bob Beckelman. In recent years, I have continued to share my love for the game through teaching and working at Ocean Pines Golf Club.
